I've figured out why the Bultacos run backwards. Some crazy spaniard not only put the kick start on the wrong side, it looks like it gets kicked the wrong way to boot!

The OSSA and the Taco in the photos are both fully road registerable in Australia. Post 1975 Bultacos came with ADR compliance plates and were/are blissfully quiet. Many pre 76 Bultacos and OSSAs were registered and could still be if anyone was motivated to do so.
I would have to admit that your RL250 looks like it would make a good safe road bike with those lights. Less chance of being unseen by tired truck drivers as they come up from behind at double your speed.
I like the idea of helping design a suitable rego plate for your RL and will let my subconscious work on it for a while.
