and the last one for tonight was taken at a trial held at Tivoli MX track in 1975, just outside Ipswich (near Brisbane). Rider is Robert Gough (Jeff's brother) and swinger is Gary Jackson. Bike is Yamaha TY250B.

Ha! I just thought of something. The poster actually reveals the year - the date for the trial is 18 November and the only year around then that had the 18 November as a Sunday was 1973

If the number is 640 then unmistakably Jeff. A couple of photos supplied to me by the Gough family for trophy images pre the 2011 SQTA Jeff Gough Invitational inaugaural event FYI.

BTW David, that looks suspiciuosly like a young John Barwick in the fancy jeans and matching jacket spectating in the centre of the three images you posted earlier. Also, definitely Scott Yule from the Gold Coast Motorcycle Club lined up in front and ready to go in the bottom photo.
While I'm on a roll, here are a couple more shots around the same era from my inextensive archive.

Diddly401, Denys reckons it's Joel who is the forgotten Reed and yes that bloke does look like John Barwick. We were a bunch of long hairs all right. Maybe that mystery bloke in your photo is Gary Jackson (Bruce's older brother). The hair looks like Gary but can't see enough of his face to be too sure and he was usually out practicing with Robert Gough when I saw him. Come to think of it though I don't remember seeing Gary Jackson wearing a hat before

Re: Old Queensland trials Poster. Who knows who this is?
Great pics from the good ole days.
I'd like to post a few of my own, but it's doing my head in, they're all between 400 to 700 KB, larger then the 256KiB allowed, so basically when i go to "Upload Attachment" it says piss off. They are all saved as jpg files.
I've been scanning and uploading my 35mm slides to my PC with a cannon CanoScan 5600F i just bought yesterday so it's very probable i'm doing something wrong in that process for the files to be as big as they are.
Any advice appreciated.

Think i've worked it out, just got to reduce the dpi to around 600.
Who's this bloke on the Cota? Pretty sure this was Biddaddaba around late ' 75 to mid ' 76, he was a top rider from over the border from memory. Pace, Pinkerton?

Looks like a Cota 123 or 172 - another long haired 1970s bloke - looks like Dave Pinkerton but with all the facial fungus I'm not sure

Here's one with another dimension of difficulty for people who like a challenge. Who is that portrayed on the poster?
Hint - it's not anyone from the Rocky Trials Club, but this person did do traveling trials training schools in the late 1980s, including a school for the Rocky Trials Club. He also did trials bike trick riding demos for public entertainment
