How have you taken the tyre on & off the rim?
With levers or using a tyre machine in a bike shop?
You can, with enough force put a kink in the bead wires & that will give air a place to leak from.
Also if a bike shop has fitted it using a machine you can cut the bead lip on the tyre with the fitting head on a tyre machine.
I've been using Dunlops for 20 years (K420's, then D801 radials & now D803 radials) and never had an issue.
I've been in the bike trade for over 30 years & seen some shocking things happen to tyres fitted all different ways.

Taken the tyre off about 6 times yesterday, trail and error method to see what the problem was. I have a manual tyre changer and levers.
I think I'll just buy a new tyre and try that next.

I had that green gloop in before and it didn't help, as you say just made a mess on the shed floor when I took the tyre off.
I could put in a tube but as it should be ok without one I want to try and fix it.
Next option is a new tyre (but I'll have to pay it off as the real estate market is in the toilet
)

A good clean roomy toilet will always sell a house.
