Re: Basket Cases Chippy's Post
David,
Not fair......but I will play your game!!! Great photos though David. Yes I do like to have things in order.
Also if anyone is interested, the
250 MAR that Greg Harding rode, and quite well sorted I must add by Greg himself, is FOR SALE. If anyone is interested PM me or ring me for those who have my number.
I still have to finish off the other
MAR 250 as well and I am after a seat and an alloy bashplate.
David, you may already know, but Robert Gough's 1976
MAR 350 is a bit rarer than mine with a production of only about 800 if my memory is correct. I think my 1975
MAR 350 had a production of 1800. Just a bit of trivia for everyone.

Are you sure it's not the other way around with Greg's post being done by Chippy.

Re: Basket Cases
My new kickstarter return spring arrived from England the next day after the trial. It is still sitting on my desk next to me as I type this. Apart from looking a bit shabby, the Occy strap worked perfectly well for me, but I will get around to fixing it properly.Greg Harding wrote: ..... I was so impressed with Mark's kickstart holder that I had to copy it, however I still banged my knee on it every time I crouched down to ride uphill! .....

Re: Basket Cases
I just realised.... Andrew's front fork legs are the same as mine. I believe that mine are correct for my model, and so his must be a year or two too old for his.
Edit: ...and then I just read that Rod already noticed that. (maybe I should read more thoroughly before I comment.)

Re: Basket Cases
C'mon David, the suspense is killing me. The forks on Chippy's '75 350 are from a pre '74 machine and at the very least the head on your bike is also pre '74 due to that outer head fin with the gap in the middle. Give us some more hints if there's more to find, please.
PS: Another thankyou for the photos,as we all know quality pics like that can be invaluable when trying to piece together a basket case.
