That's mean, nasty, cruel and ugly!!!!!!! Why didn't you tell Dad the secret of the difference between trials and road racing before you let him ride. Its even colour coded so fools like me can understand.

In trials: you ride on the green and brown bits, and stay between the plastic stuff.
In road racing: you ride on the black bits, and stay between the stuff of any other colour.

Once you understand the colour coding of motorcycling, you can ride in almost any type or style of event.

Too bad some of us are colourblind!!!!!!!!!
