My long arms make me a little cramped with the standard set up, so I have moved the bars forward 32 mm.
Has anyone else done this, I would be interested in feedback as I am not sure if I am simply justifying the feel after going to the Effort? Theoretically, manipulating the handlebars can give the same handle grip location in relation to the headstem. That is something that I learnt when reworking handlebars, I even experimented with 6 bend bars which work well on :yamaha TY175. Both Franken KT and FANTIC testarossa have had the same relocation and both feel better than standard. As for the PIUMA, it feels better standing and balancing.................
If only I could start It?

I absolutely love this topic

Hi Everyone,

Alastair, I hope you don't mind me editing your expletive?

Curiosity got the better of me, so I roll started the PIUMA on SUNDAY! Had to adjust the bars after riding it for a while to find the right position for me and I am very happy with it now. The main advantage of moving the bar mounts as I see it is the angle of the grips does not change like it does with simply rolling the bars forward.

Below is a photo of :kawasaki FrankenKT with bar mounts moved forward along with a standard top:

It is an easy conversion with no welding required. I simply cut the mounts off with a hacksaw and filed them flat. Then re drilled 4 holes using the 2 front holes for location and tapped them 8 X 1.25mm. Then drilled the middle pieces out to 8 mm, longer bolts were my only Expense!

Greg that's got to be the most creative and economical method I've ever seen for doing the bar mount move mod
