Greg, I found this as well. It was taken at an Arena Trial at the Beenleigh Showground held by Logan River.

Sorry about the quality. I couldn't get the photo any better.

Chippy, I see your all GREEN ITALJET and raise you a MORE GREEN PIUMA!

Not sure if it is a push bike or a walking frame, but it has zero Emissions!

David, what do you need to do to make your 300 + cc machine Happy?

Graham, thank you for the clarification of actual sizes, now I know it has never been apart because of standard bore.

Just some workshop time Greg, which might work out, or it might not. I just thought up a list based on what I remember from when it was parked up ages ago.
Fit some tyres
Do a carby swap
Do a shockie swap
Change the oils
Fit a new air filter
Clean out the brakes
Make a sharks tooth thingy
Fit a lanyard cutout
Make a blue name board
Work out a way to make the handlebar brace stay put
Clean the points
Check the wheel, steering and swingarm bearings
Lube the cables

Last and most important, get used to riding it again

Hi Everyone,
David Lahey wrote:As for challenging Chippy to ride his :ossa 350 against your ITALJET, it sounds a bit unfair knowing that yours is actually called "feather". I've not heard anyone yet call an :ossa a "feather"

chippy wrote:Hi everyone,
Yes you are correct again David, I have never heard :ossa referred to as "feather" either. I am always up for a challenge though.
Chippy

Well I have worked out how to shave some weight, removing the cooling fin, drilling and tapping the hole saved about the the weight of a "FEATHER" (PIUMA) off one of these:

Trouble is when I fit the decompressor, it weighs about the same as before!

Wow, is that a photo showing DODO feathers? Hmmm..... what could you be saying about Italjets, Greg?

Today the pungent aroma of 1970s vintage Spanish BETOR shockie oil filled my workshop. Yes I am rebuilding some very old shockies. I'm not sure why I'm doing it yet, when I should be working on my 300+cc :montesa twinshock for the Easter 2 day, but I am learning things about how shockie design has advanced in the 40 years since these things were the hot ticket and came on Alpinas, Matadors and OSSA Explorers

Bit of an understatement. Looks sensational!

Hi Everyone,
Rod wrote:The rear brake pedal is missing, does look nice though.

Rod, it might have one of those left foot conversions and yes it does look really Good!

David, there are connections other than the obvious one we are not talking about.

With ITALJET really being Eye-Tal-Jet and DODO really being DOUGH-DOUGH!

Let me share something that I have learnt:

Finding a New Old Stock Eye-Tal-Jet kickstarter is about as easy as finding DOUGH-DOUGH DODO and rocking horse Manure!

This is one time I can't post a photo of the subject matter.

Greg, you will find it is a lot easier to find dodo poo and rocking horse poo than it is finding an new or an old Italjet kickstarter. The early aluminium Gas Gas kickstarts fit very well, last longer and are much lighter. Steve Goode in sunny England has them. Graham.

Yes, you are right Greg, it does have the conversion kit fitted. I should have known better, as I have one of those NOS kits myself amongst all the bits and pieces I've acquired. I believe Berlatier was one who preferred his Italjet in Bultaco mode.
