Roger, is this # 2 or # 3 of your current 'litter' of tiger cubs?

How good to see 7 classics competing at Benobble over Easter. I spotted 3 Cubs, 2 Bantams, 1 Honda & 1 Jawa.

No 1 is my regular bike for the last 15 years
No 2 went to Gympie 12 months ago
No 3 is now in Bill's shed
This one is No 4

It sure was a great fun event with about 100 entries of which there were about 14 Twinshocks of which 10 were in Twinshock class and 7 Classics

OK, so now I am feeling: Can you get back to the you being wrong Bit?

So here goes, I used to think that 250 cc was the right size for me with bigger capacities changing the power charactistics. What I mean is the surge as the power comes on sometimes when I wasn't ready and sometimes breaking traction. Most old 250s have a very linear power delivery across the Rev range making them very rideable.

Now that I have ridden it in a Trial, the PIUMA 350 has changed my opinion with a very smooth progressive delivery from very soft (hard to stall) off the very bottom almost surge free through the usuable rev range right up to when you crack it open confirming it is actually 330 cc. Just don't tell Chippy!

Now as for the age old story that PIUMA 250 is the pick, I would like to CONFIRM that it is simply a

That would have something to do with the fact he was riding a 1973 Kwaka KT and your on a 1983 Italjet, 10 years improvement? You are two riders of similar ability so then the age/development of the machine comes into play, I'm stating the obvious to us Twin Shock lovers, but this is why Twin Shock trials is starting to boom in my opinion, it's the variables, you never know who's gunna rock up on what bike, plus the fact that Twin Shock bikes were charismatic, they were all trying to out do each other in the glory days of the '70s and '80s and they looked awesome, and yes Greg that friendly rivalry is what it's all about.

Here is a progress photo of a basket case that has been on the go here for a few years now.
My son Darcy has grown a bit too big for his modern GasGas 50 now and is almost big enough to ride this thing so there has been a flurry of activity around it recently
The frame, tank and seat are Sammy Miller High Boy TY175 made in the early 1980s and the donor bike was a (basket case) TY175JC. The engine has been rebuilt. The rims are AKRONT and were bought along with the frame kit from Sammy Miller Products in the 1980s
It is shorter in wheelbase than a TY175 (about the length of a mini-Majesty)
