Hi Everyone,

Terry, my questions were cryptic and layered, a little like an onion. As you have probably guessed I was testing one of my theories:
Can a :bultaco: Fanatic see past a :bultaco: ?
At first collectively we had 159, 183, 191, 198, 198A, 199 and 199A so it seemed all of the models were listed inside a time frame but none of them was definite about which model until now.
brownie wrote:All a bit cryptic for me
brake is on the proper side
R for 238 ? B for bastidor so I'd guess M198 so frame number RB198etc

Well done Brownie! You certainly know your :bultaco: :!:

Considering I waited until the right model was announced and to be fair, shallots is not right but I think they are related so I will give another clue:
We planted them and they do come from the Northern Hemisphere but not Spain! They do like mulch just like Mushrooms!

As for poor photography and just for the son of a Market Garden Farmer, here is another photo with the distraction removed:

It's green there looks to be a bit of dung mixed in the soil so I'd guess KT250

Greg,
I have consulted my better half again. With the clearer photography and the major weed out of the way ( even though she could tell what it was ), Margaret is still not sure but thinks the plants may be garlic.

brownie was being a bit cryptic about the rear brake pedal Greg. I'll try and add a bit of clarity

While brownie is right that the left side is the right side, this was the first model Sherpa T that came out with the brake pedal on the right side, because all the previous models had the brake pedal on the right side.
It's quite common for people to modify this model and later models by moving the brake pedal location from the right side to the right side, as your garlic special has been.

Hi Everyone,

David, realizing you are usually right but I am left feeling that you left out a couple of lefts and maybe some wrongs? This came with the :bultaco: and I thought it came from one of those Italian Bultacos but it is different to my :italjet: Piuma.

TerrY, you and the lady of the house are right, well close enough as it is Elephant Garlic or Russian Garlic, here is some of last year's crop:

That brake cable has been and probably will be the subject of many long discussions in :bultaco: trials bike circles.
In my opinion the brake pedal side-swap method you used on the Legion M49 you rode at Conondale is far more practical than the dreaded Bultaco cable, for people who insist on riding right (left) footed.
Here is another :bultaco: with a personalised arrangement. Notice the complete absence of pedals on the left side:

Hi Everyone,

David that is a beautiful BLUE :bultaco: !

Over the years I have done a few kilometres with a bike on a bike rack or bikes in an open trailer. Sometimes you get some strange behavior with people tailgating or taking an unusually long time to overtake and sometimes hanging just behind you in the overtaking lane varying their position just to look at the bike or bikes. Or my personal favorite is when I overtake someone and then they speed up and follow to have a look. It happens a lot when you have a :bultaco:, the other thing I have noticed is while waiting at lights, you hear someone say: Look a :bultaco: ! It is the most noticeable with my BLUE Alpina 213 along with people coming up to talk when we pull up.

Anyway here are some more photos, we have moved from the garden to the chook yard just to mix it up, when I opened the gate they all bolted so sorry Alastair.

There is something missing, I wonder if anyone can work it out before a :bultaco: Fanatic, other than me that Is?

Okay I`ll bite. There is a couple of things missing in those photos Greg, An exhaust pipe and clubfoot silencer and the rest of the seat. I think that seat would be rather uncomfortable to sit on at the moment. :bultaco: Graham.
