Its easy Steve. Just plan for a Queensland holiday in July and I'll bring along a bike for you to ride. Those photos are from a year ago.
I reckon it would be great for you to get back on a Monty 348 again.

Good to see KTs being used in competition.

As opposed to what David? Being used as anchors? :D

Yes Tim, there are plenty of options besides being anchors. Quite a few are garden and farm ornaments, I just learned of another that despite being rideable has just become landfill here in Gladstone. There is also at least one in OZ that is a lounge room wall ornament.

What I mean about the competition bit is that it seems like we are back in the 1970s with a large proportion of the twinshock trials bikes seen being used in competition being Yamahas. Now I love Yamahas as much as the next fourty-something trials rider and maybe even more, but it is always a pleasant thing to see people riding something other than a TY Yamaha. There is even a good possibility of this year's Brooweena event featuring more than one KT, which is well above the usual participation rate for those luscious green whining beauties.

If anyone has a KT lying around, how about bringing it along to Brooweena so we can go for a Guinness Book of World Records attempt for the most KT250s at the same place and time.

David

Tsk, c'mon Dave, I'm pulling yer leg.

Funny thing the past isn't it. In the '70's the KT was reviled. I remember a couple of tidy riders on them In South Africa though. One was a guy called Peter Garnett, formerly of Yorkshire. I wonder where he went.

Back then Bults and Monts were the bikes to have. Now, it isn't like that. Yams seem to rule the roost.

Have you seen that interview with Bernie over at Todotrial?

Hi Guys,
For a real eye opener on Twin shock I would invite Steve Johnson on his 198 sherpa to see just how far a twinshock can be pushed? "punished". Denman can put on a real show for twin shocks but he has only a standard bike?

I remember seeing six KT250 at once many years ago, when I was working at the Kawasaki importers warehouse.

I guess that was the annual shipment from Japan - but they did sell them for 2 years

Hey David
If we get Greg Bostock up at Brooweena we will have another 348. Maybe we better try for another record.
