Neo I just looked at those Chinese bikes from your links. Yes they do look great and I couldn't help thinking that it would be even better if they made complete replicas of popular old dirt bikes too.

Have you seen the kits available for Enfield Bullets to convert the drum brake model for trials use? There is an ad in the latest Classic Dirt Bike Magazine (number 4) and the converted bike looks terrific. I think the conversion kit costs about 900 UK pounds and includes everything except the trials tyres.
How cool would that be to cruise around on?

You Guy's just can't wait can ya?

Well the importer has made me an offer too good to accept and is now trying to get parts.

In the meantime while looking for POS.cn spares I found this.... Is it next years prototype ATEB (use a mirror) bike???? Note the extra foot pegs to help us find somewhere other than the ground for our feet!!!

David,
Havent seen that issue out here yet, but this is the place to get you Enfield kits from:
http://www.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/

I believe there are some other suitable trials frames available from somewhere else, cant remember from who, but suits all old pommy motors.

BJScorps,
That reverse mirror bike, I know its a mini, but is it electric or combustion engined? Interesting to note if they will get a bigger bike developed later?
I would rather push my twinshock than ride a modern!

At least tell us if the Bush Grinding process worked?

Neo

I worked really well!!!

The home grown method successfully cleaned off all the melted bearing material to reveal deep groves in the crank and allow accurate measurement. The crank was worn too much on the upstroke side and as undersize bearings and gaskets are not available short of the tried and true leather bearing it is a new motor job.

The importers were here today and are very nice  , they said they would like sell me a new tractor at about $5000 loss rather than have to go to the small claims trubunal (claim already lodged) and maybe end up wearing the tractor and paying damages.

So like the nice fellow I am we shoock hands and very soon my new Landini 68hp 4x4 tracter with new ,oader will be arriving. All in all I think I haven't come out too badly and at least the new machine has a Perkins 4cyl motor that is a common as Pommies and Kiwis in Australia!!!!
