Here is a before picture of my TY250D. I got it online from a bloke in NSW. It was a one owner (Father - son) bike and had been sitting on the coast at Newcastle for all it's life so corrosion was rampant. It had also been ridden on the road and had been seized a number of times. Good points was it was all there and very original and nothing was bent and the tank was in excellent condition and it was just right for restoration.

A lot of work to date that has been good work. I have a barrel on the way from the US with a std bore so it will start fresh. A big thankyou to Andy Martin (BigEm) for his help with the plastics. He did the side cover and the rear guard and they look a treat. Andy also had a guy in Ipswich do the Cad work for his TY and mine.

Hi,
my son has just bought his first TY175 (first bike for that matter)
It was bought with 3 years of lawn mowing money, so it will be while till it changes, but it does run well as it is.
It is Portugese Orange and has been parked up for more than 25 years, but runs crisp.
Front and rear gaurds are dust, but this is to learn on, not a resto (yet) so he will have to find some servicable S/H gaurds.
It has a Compliance plate, 1/77 and Frame number 1N4-001081, the Engine number is the same.

Needles to say I used to have a TY a long time ago and I think it will teach him some great skills.
