I sent an old seat and cowling along with the seat frame I fabricated to Thailand and he did the rest free for me. In return he took a pattern and is now making the covers and selling them on ebay for $61.45 delivered. They are a fantastic cover. I tried to convince him to make the entire seat but he is reluctant due to manufacturing costs, but email the guy as he is fantastic to deal with. :D

That's a fair bit more $$$ than similar seat covers from the UK. I know that no-one else other than your Thai maker makes a TY250A cover so I guess for now there there is not much choice.
For comparison, here is a seat cover I bought recently for a TY250D seat and it was $26 delivered. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Yamaha-TY250 ... 3f1b7a7d51 I see the price has gone up a bit since I bought mine
Again for comparison I have had a similar trials bike seat cover made and fitted recently at a local auto upholsterer and it cost $80.

David, I saw these and they look great but the TY250a cover is heat pressed and identical to the orig. seat pattern. I am thrilled with mine and will probably get one for my 77 when I restore it. here is the seat: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/YAMAHA-TY250 ... 27ca945119

Ah I didn't realise it was a heat pressed pattern - I thought the pattern was sewn in - very nice 8)
