Classic Trials rules in Australia - who is interested?

There are currently two positions vacant on the MQ Trials Sub-committee. Maybe a good place to start?

As an 'outsider', very much a novice and in NZ !! I'm not going (obviously) going to be part of the discussion BUT am still VERY interested in the outcome as I'm aiming at building frames etc and it would be nice to know what to build !!
I' d just like to see the sport progress and grow.

I'm interested!!! Don't have a classic, but would like to see classic eligibility rules broadened.
Already starting to hear noise about tightening post classic eligibility....
The more bikes brought out of chicken sheds & ridden the better.

Gents, just wondering if we're going to do anything about this. Three months of the twelve till the next March deadline have already passsed.

Options appear to be:

1) discuss off-forum, via email:- need emails of everybody here who wanted to be part of discussion
2) discuss in person: - get a group together, say in Bris
3) discuss on forum: - start a new thread dedicated to such

Having recently re-read the whole thread where all the discussion previously took place (ie Cub Barrels), it looks to me like we came closer to agreement on things - or at least some key things - than we perhaps tho't at the time. That might be a good place to start further discussion.

If we're going to do this thoroughly, I'd think we need to start soon.

Any preferences on the options above?
Any other options?

This is what many of the p65 Bultaco trials bikes (based on the 4-speed 200cc pre-65 Sherpa N) start out looking like. I can't believe that buy-it-now price is correct

Hi all the CQTC is putting on a twin shock ,classic and heavy weight trial with sections catering for all classes.It will be on the 8th of Sep on my farm near Lowmead qld. directions are on the sub regs hoping to see there. WE need more events for twin shocks and classics hoping this is a start cheers Tony Bax

I've been working on a list of bikes that became available in 65/66 & in 67 to help people make an informed decision on whether to extend the cut-off date beyond pre-65 to pre-67 or pre-68 which seemed to be the general consensus on the other thread (ie Cub Barrels thread).

I might PM it in the next few days to all on this thread who indicated they wanted to be part of discussion on possible rule changes.

I wouldn't bank on any rule changes that would permit anything other than exact replicas of period frames. From what I've seen of the photos on the other thread of this forum the type of frames you are hoping to build don't look anything like period frames, they seem to meet the English lack of rules but I hope we never go down that road as I'm sure it would kill of Classic for all but those big bank accounts.

Don't know where you got the idea of what I'm looking at building ? Don't know myself yet, which was the whole point of me coming on here to see what was happening, what everyone wanted. Just be nice for everyone to sort this out and decide once and for all.
I' d actually PREFER to build the REPLICA stuff as that is where my real interest is, but at the end of the day, it's down to what everyone wants.
