This is not helping me create space in the shed.
I could not resist buying this parts bike today.
Kudos for people who know what it is.
I was amused to see the tyres on it. The rear is an AVON mudplugger and the front is a Pirelli MT13. Both of these tyre designs ran out of popularity in the late 1970s.
Also amusing to see are the finned alloy body KONI shocks. These were briefly fashionable for MX use in 1975/76 when people started increasing rear wheel travel which overheated the steel-bodied standard KONIs when used in MX. On the same theme, this bike had its lower shock mounts moved forwards to increase the wheel travel.

Hey David, hope you didn't pay too much for that rust bucket, obviously Ossa, fork bottoms and barrel to carb connection make me think '74 MAR mk2.

As a kid I would remove the front wheel and drop the bars down and could tuck the TY250A into the rear of my mums little Renault 12 station wagon.
I knew a fellow rider a few years back who swapped the front wheel of his Sherco for a modified front hub that ran perfectly along a customised aluminium channel in the back of his panel van.
One man loaded and totally secure in about 3 minutes.
