Those mags from back in the day were hopeless with their photography and reports. That only colour shot of the 247 is front on, which gave no idea to the buying public what it actually looked like in the the flesh. I would have been unimpressed if I was the Oz importer of Montesa back then. Anyhow that's how it was back then, does anyone have any magazine articles on the '74 Cota 247(black frame) or '75 Ulf Karlson replica 247 that they could post up please regardless of how good or bad the report is. Fairly sure there is a fairly good ADB test comparing Cota 247 and 250 Sherpa T 1975 or 1976 models. I might only have a monochrome photocopy. From what I remember you will probably like what they say Rod. Will have a look
