And what a huge international incident it turned out to be.......
Graham couldn't start his bike, but I finished the event and therefore beat him.
His bike is now fixed, and so on Sunday in a week he'll well and truly beat me. The state of the world will be returned to normal, and once again people can rest easily.

Well Graham I hope those head nuts were all you painted , otherwise it might get a bit embarrassing.
I'm off to check every painted nut that I have in the shed in case they have come loose. Thank's for posting this problem . It might save all of us from the the set back you have had.
Thanks
Cheers brt650

Talking about torque wrenches, I think everybody should go and buy the best torque wrench they can afford. Im sure you will notice a difference if you use it for every nut and bolt. #-o  8) :P

Are painted nuts a new way to increase performance I wonder?

Hello all. Doesn`t anybody else give their bike a pre season refurbish, spray the frame, engine all of the nuts and bolts and washers and axles. I even polish all of the aluminium bits as well. I wanted to spray my nuts green but I got talked out of it. Graham.

Green nuts would suit a Bult very well I think.

Galvanising zinc spray is best for those,I saw someone accidently squat over a can and said they felt a cooling sensation in their pants,as the paint soaked thru, also today on chanel 7 [63] 3pm are showing trials.

Yeah, I gave mine a pre season refurbish - I gave it a violent kick to try to shake off some of last year's dirt.

Does that count?
