Hi TY175srgreat

You've done a good job with the TY. One day soon I will get around to doing mine.
Just a bit of procrastination happening here and I don't really know where to start.
I have a complete unmolested white/orange TY175 sitting in my shed.
Are you north side or south side in Brisbane?

Alan

Hi Everyone,

Eric (tioli), the parts that you sent have turned up: :D :D

IMGP5197 - Copy.JPG

Thankyou for the parts as they will help keep some ex Basket Case loan bikes going into the future! Some of the road gear is surplus to my needs, if anyone is interested please let us know?

Hopefully the parts I have sent you will help complete the Prancing Horse and you get some more enjoyment riding it!

bigal, do you need any parts to finish your TY?

Wow! Greg when you display it like that it looks like a lot. Did you end up identifying what the tail light, speed, headlight and chain garde are off?

Hi Everyone,

Eric, the small taillight as you know is a TY one, the big one is Stanley and I don't know what it is off?

The speedo is identical to my Honda TL125S one and the headlight I don't know either (looks like Honda in the way it is mounted?)

Chain Guard is easy, Honda TL250 and is better than the one on my loan bike and in the mixed bag was a gearbox oil cap to suit a Suzuki RL250 which is great as I didn't have any spares ( kept kicking them off swinging the kickstart into action!) Resorted to cable tying them to the frame as they don't screw in like other bikes.

All in all I am very happy! :D :D

Greg , I am happy to. What you sent me doesn’t have the quantity but makes up for in rarity.
JC Battery Box, large JC rear mudguard under tray and left switch block.
Thanks for the swap, Iv been looking 10 years for a batery box
Eric

Hi Everyone,

Eric, you have me curios as to what the Headlight and tail light are off? So I have decided to post a better photo to see if anyone can identify them.
IMGP5239.JPG

The tail light has a similar theme to a RL250 frame with holes in a row growing in size with each hole!

Alan, all you need to do now is find the begining, then you can start!

The wire type mounting method for the headlight looks like KT250 but we need a side-on photo to show the top end of the mount. Here is a KT photo for reference

Rear light assembly looks vaguely similar to my memory of a Honda SL125 - remembered fondly with a 55 tooth sprocket on the back and trying trials, many less grey hairs ago. But think the SL125 had similar holes on the side of the chrome piece - obviously critical elements to lighten the bike!!

Greg, if you look you will notice the speedo and headlight fit togeather the wire is broken.
I have never met you but it has me wondering who would take a photo of bike parts in a serving tray like that?
