Another twinshock at the 1995 Aussie Titles at Canungra. Not too sure at all about this but I think this (Suzuki RL250) was the winning bike and was ridden very smoothly by Glenn Evans?
If it is the bike I am thinking of it had a bit of work done to the steering head geometry and a TY250N front hub.
Please correct me if I'm wrong here.
I think that was also the trial that Darryl Fox rode his 250 Majesty and it rained very heavily on the second day.
I just noticed Ralph Hooley's "TY250B" in the parc ferme too.
An indelible memory of that event was watching Craig Gillies riding Classic class with his usual relaxed mastery (and winning?) on his Dad's converted CZ125 road bike with so much wear in the fork sliders that the front wheel could move about 10mm fore and aft.

Another Twinshock bike joins the ranks in Queensland
Drew Wickerson from Rockhampton has been riding late model Betas for years now and at the same time hankering for a Twinshock trials bike to ride in some of the special events that feature the old trials bikes.
As a youth Drew had a new TY250C (1976) and was so concerned about damaging the beautiful aluminium fuel tank that he whipped up a fibreglass replica fuel tank over a weekend to use on the bike in case he crashed. For people who know Drew this should be no surprise as he is incredibly creative and a whiz with fibreglass (and most other construction materials). The TY250C went on to someone else at the time but Drew kept the fibreglass tank all the years in between so when he started getting excited about Twinshock trials a few years ago, I would have bet London to a brick that he was going to get a TY250. Well he didn't did he. He got a TLR250. He reckons it was because it was well priced and just down the street.
Well I'm still working on my original prediction and reckon that after a few events riding the Honda, he will be on the lookout for a Yamaha TY250.
Any way here is what Drew's bike looked like when he got it home a few weeks ago.
Those lucky enough to able to get to the Western Districts Trials Club Classic and Twinshock Masters Trial at Conondale in early November will probably be able to watch Drew coming to terms with the unique performance characteristics of his TLR250.

I sold the bike to Chris Hammond??, I believe Daryl picked it up in the long run...

Last year there was the photos of the four Montesa Cota 348s at Brooweena.
Last weekend there were five of them at Waterson's property near Gladstone at a local trial.
Four of them had a ride that day while Martin's No 2 bike missed out. Cedric Van Heerden rode both his bike and his daughter Tharyn Thomas' bike in the trial, proclaiming that Tharyn's was better to ride with its standard flywheel weight (I reckon so too).
We had quite a photo shoot that morning before the heat of the trial. The lighting was great. The people posing were Cedric Van Heerden (front), Tharyn Thomas, David Lahey, Martin Spam store and Leonie Treagus.

The only reference I can find for that model is on a French Yamaha website where it is referred to as a 1978/1979 TY350. The Yamaha prefix given for that model is 616.
I suspect there was also a 250 version that looked the same and that both are mechanically identical to the C and D models sold here (apart from the capacity of the motor on the 350).
There is no such thing as a Mick Andrews Replica TY250. If Yamaha had put into production what Mick Andrews developed instead of just producing the TY250 Twinshock models as we know them, the trials landscape would probably look quite different. The closest thing you can get to what Mick wanted the Yamaha twinshock to be in the late 1970s is a Majesty.
Here is a picture of another TY that looks like yours from the UK.
