Here's what I was faced with when I cracked open the 'box.

all the bits scrubbed up pretty well. There's no pitting on the teeth of any of the gears, just a bit of discolouration. Hopefully they'll be OK. All the gearbox bits were thoroughly cleaned, then oiled and packed in to zip lock bags and are now residing in teh big white box.
State of the nation...

So, it's getting there. Waiting on the engine cases etc. to come back from blasting. Then I'll look at getting the frame a bit straighter. I wasn't going to bother, but it's pretty bent on the lhs under the engine. Then strip and paint the frame (not going to powder coat it now, as I can't powder coat. I can paint, however, and POR 15 looks like a pretty good option.) Fork legs will go to RAD and I'll re-assemble the donk. Yet to procure some rear shocks, fork springs clutch bits and various other do-dads. Wheels can wait, for now. I'll do the bearings but polishing the hubs and new s/steel spokes can be done next year. I want to ride this thing again!
