Hi Steve. Whadya mean by "...sometimes the bike rolls out on the front-wheel-only for a foot or two."?

Because the bike is very close to it's ballence point (on the front wheel) sometimes, it does a nose wheelie, with the rear wheel leaving the top of the steps & the bike rolling along on the front wheel for a foot ot two. It doesn't feel nice

Hey Steve,We had a great morning practicing with you guys on Saturday.I would have been riding better but it was very windy.You know what I mean. There is a you tube clip of my brother praticing on his twin shock Rothmans Honda TLR250 in a backyard.We don't know who's it was but someone would have owned it. Think you will have to refer to the rules on page 2 of the thread for eligibility of backyard practice sections

Seems as though you might be in breach on a number of occasions with this vid
Impressive ride on a twinshock though

Hi Everyone,

Mark, yes it does sway when you ride it, when you start to wobble, it seems to exagerate it!!! Think of the balance beams as leaf springs upside down 150mm wide and 8 metres long. Depending on how heavy you and your bike are denotes how much the beam sags!!!

Steve, it seems you don`t have to have all of your tyre on the beam, just most of it!! When you come to ride my obstacles, bring some friends!

Below is a photo of the "A" grade balance beam, this is the last of my series of balance beams and Japanese "70s" 250 twinshocks(Steady Westy Steady).The first step is high enough to catch the bashplate, so you have carry the front wheel, just to make it interesting!

I have a vague recollection visiting the Patto residence some years ago and remember a single tyre width trail leading into nearby bush. Could this be a backyard practice section?

Well I have run out of previously ridden obstacles from my practice section, so I have ventured around the back of the house to ride this tree stump. Took a few rides to sort it out
The photographer is now 38 ½ weeks pregnant so just squeezing in with the rules
We have house close in shot with cubby, clothes on the line & kids toys on the veranda. This is legit backyard practice sections
