Yes but it was my first test setup and I was so happy with the result I never botherd changing it. For all I know 10 or 20mm may be better? You have to remember I had a real need to do that at the time as the exhaust wrap changed the nature of the pipe. The spacer between the exhaust and barrel fixed that but the spacers on the KIPS chamber worked with that as well and took the transition dip out between power valves in or out. Another way to say it is I got a increase in the bottom end that blended in with the power valves opening.
I made that for the 200 barrel and reused it for the 200/220 which is now different to where the 200 barrel was. Having said that there is still no noticeable transition.
This is getting over a year now and I tend to just find a problem, experiment a solution and move on. The details as to why tend to get lost over time. I hope I explain my reasoning in the past posts.
As to how long will the piston last? As long as I want is the answer I'm after.

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm just looking through all the info and they keep coming up.
With the Devcon, will that stay put when the cylinder is sent out for plating? Whatever they use to strip those clean seems to do a really good job and I wasn't sure how well the epoxy held up through that process.

No probs with the questions.
I did not Devcon up the inlet till it came back from the platters.
I think I have already mentioned to rough up and leach the surface clean so coming back from the players is a perfect time.
One other thing I have found is no matter how well you clean up when you have finished applying and final shaping Devcon. When you pull the motor apart next it will look alittle rougher as in air bubbles just under the surface will open, the edges will be rid of all the micro grit you left behind, the turbulence in there will finish your cleaning for you and you know where it went.
The only smooth surface you can get if you are not going to shape it later is to wet it, I use spit and pat it down and smooth over. You can also put a layer of shiny plastic for a flat surface and peal off when it's dry.
Half way through the drying process it can be shaped with a knife.
Good stuff

Do you think the Devcon would hold up to the re-plating process? I've probably got 1-2 more seasons left on my cylinder before I want to send it out to be plated and wondered if all the epoxy work I would do now would be lost then.

Because of the bigger spread of power 1st and 2nd have become useless with 13/49t sproket set up.
As the chain came off the KDX it's one or so links to short to go bigger on the front so dropped the rear by 3 to 47t.
As you don't know where your going to end up a cheep rear was the order.
They don't get any cheaper than this. $60 odd dollars delivered from AliExpress. Loads of colours and sizes, bi- metal with hard steel ring and aircraft aluminium centre.
Cheapest price with best features and seems to be holding after two tanks. Very little in the way of wearing in the steel ring is hard. The rivets are still tight with no movement of ring to center. I think I will call it good.
As far as 13/47t goes Im using 2nd as 1st which seems to work (with a auto clutch which gear is not so import as you can take off in any gear it just slips a bit longer). The spread is bigger which the motor needs to open out and 1st is still there for those special occasions. I don't think I will gear it up any more as my head can't keep up.

When I stand I'm pulling on my arms and just not comfortable.
These are supposed to reposition to 50mm.

The problem is the bike came with fat bars and adapters. Raisers with small on the bottom and fat on top 70 odd mm are thin on the ground.

As far forward as they will go with out bending or making a new base plate.

Polished the clutch cover which my boots have messed up.

Still can't bottom out which is an indication of my age. So it either has heavy or normal springs in it. I'm running one grade thinner oit and taking 25ml out will bring it close to bottom of the range.
Strangly the oil I could get out of the rod hole was dirty and from the spring area was clean.

Sitting on the shelf. Turns out my set up and RB carb is so economical I don't need it.
I extended the main tube to leave 3 of the 9l tank (documented some pages back) and I have rarely needed it.

Do you have a picture of the other side of the bike? I'm curious how the green sprocket looks with the rest of the bike.
Thanks
