Gary,
I won't fit in my wife's wedding dress and the trout suit split at Christmas time, so I will have to wing it.
Seeing as I have not ridden since the last classic championships, everyone will be laughing at my riding anyway!
Joe.

Hi Everyone,
Geoff, I have had the exhaust of the 240 before and if my memory serves me correctly, you need to twist and extract a little, twist and extract a little more, until it clears everything. Absolutely agree it could be simpler and I think the airbox was out at the time. As I have never had it running, I am hoping the clutch is not as bad as you say!
Takhli44, the TY175D model in the photo is fairly rare here compared to the C and JC models, trusty old machines. Just a little trip you may be interested in is the TY CHALLENGE at the end of the month? You may need to rejet the carby as there is a huge altitude difference!
Joe, looking forward to the list.
David, thanks for posting the photos, I hear we missed a really good event. Wonder how many
Fantics are still being ridden?
Here are some photos of Steve P's Italjet that I am working on at the moment. Steve lent me some of the essential parts for the communal Bultaco M49 that I rode at Conondale in 2011. This project will be another team effort as we have Graeme working on the motor and Steve sourcing parts. Hopefully someone can help as the rear muffler is missing? Even a rusty or damaged one would be easier than starting from scratch. Anyone??????

Hi Everyone,
Just sharing some progress on Steve's bike, although I have not ridden this bike yet (wet Ignition)! It is in pretty good condition for it's age and quite well made. At Kyogle last year I remember riding Darren C's T250 and the only thing that I disliked was how far the kickstarter protrudes and rubs on the inside of your boots. Maybe this modification is a little excessive, but effective:

The rear brake cable has seen better days, can anyone help?

Hard to tell for sure but has the RH footpeg been extended out to match the extended brake pedal tip?

Hi Greg. Venhill make rear brake cables for Italjets or Steve Goode in England can get them as well as other parts. In Motion has a few parts too as in airfilters and brake shoes and a few other parts. If you have a look none of the Italjets has an original back brake lever on them. The kickstart used to hit them and break the brake and the kickstart lever also hit the footpeg and broke the kickstart lever or the shaft. David that looks like an original footpeg to me. They are even smaller than a Bultaco one. Cheers Graham.

Hi all,
Thanks for the photos at Scrubby Creek, David. Also well done to Kevin Gloss on a very good ride.
I have made some progress on my Italjet Scott. Thanks to Dan Gollagher for linishing front fork sliders of the small rust spots. Also thanks Greg for repairing my damaged exhaust and now it's with Don Latham for bead blasting.
I also have to thank Robert Gough for his help so far on information on the Scott and it appears my oil canister, which houses the oil filter, located under the tank and at the front of the motor, that my cannister is the larger modified version which should supply sufficient oil for the top of motor. I just need a metal fabricator who can make up some ends as the original plastic ones are brittle and brocken.
My rear brake pedal is or maybe identical to the two stroke version Greg and is badly bent. I'd also like to increase the surface area of the footpegs too as per Greg Harding usual modification...
I will post up some photos shortly.
Andrew
