I am chasing some info on Clutch baskets for the TY175.

Are DT175 baskets compatible? Or does anyone have an original??
I have looked at a DT basket and it appears the same just after some confirmation.
The number of the current damaged one is: 525-16311-#C1

The exact year model of the TY is unknown. Closest idea is between 75-78, possibly a 76.

The Engine and frame number is: 525-003161, any help deciphering the exact year model would be appreciated also.

My B model TY175 (1975) is number 525003013 so yours may well also be a B model. If your bike still has the original carby, B model was black and C model was unpainted diecast colour. B model was yellow/white and C model was burned orange/white. No mechanical difference between B and C model. C model was 1976.
Other TY175s sold in Australia are:
The TY175JC which has many detail differences to the B and C models and was specially built to meet Australian Design Rules for road registration which came into force first in 1976. Serial numbers start with 1N4------
Another TY175 sold in about 1980 was mechanically identical to the B and C models but had white tank and sidecover with a red slotted tank stripe.
As far as I know the clutch baskets from all model TY175s are the same and other model Yamahas with the same basket are MX125/175 B/C, YZ125C, DT125/175ABCD.
