Gentlemen,

All new systems seem difficult the first time you use them. Please persevere as you will find it easier the next time.

There is something about the system that they don't tell you about.

The easier approach requires you to set yourself up in the system as a rider. You need a Username and a Password - you nominate your own Username and set up your own Password. Remember to record this for next time. You then record all your details as requested and save them.
Then you enter the event after logging in as a rider. Most of the fields are then automatically populated from your rider information whenever you enter an event. You just need to check them and adjust anything that has changed - like your licence expiry date each year, and your new bike.

If you don't use that approach, you just enter the event and have to manually enter every field every time you enter an event. This approach is OK if you only want to use this system for one event occasionally. However in SE Qld, most of the clubs are using the system and the first approach is easier for regular riders.

After your initial pain and wondering how to enter lots of information, the results flow to the Race Secretaries. They are able to allow entries to remain open virtually to the moment they head off to the event where there is usually no power or Internet capability. They are able to set up the event with little more than a few computer strokes and printing. Previously, they spent literally a week of evening work collating paper entries, entering them in manually to whatever system they used to get the picture of the entries.

When you get used to the system, you will actually save your own time as you won't have to manually write out your form, fill out a cheque, put it all in an envelope, address it, find a stamp, and put it in a post box. Every time. All the local Race Secretaries have celebrated this system as they can set up events much more quickly and be better prepared on the day.

Please embrace the system,
Cheers,
TerrY

Anything like "Nominate" that reduces the workload on volunteers is a good thing for riders.

Another recent change that has reduced the workload on volunteers has been the self-check inspection/declaration for bikes and riding PPE
