Hi,
New to trials so I am after people's feedback on some things.
I have just bought a Beta Techno 96' model, just a few things to do and tidy up and I am on my way.
But the question at hand is I am looking at getting some S/hand Trials boots.
A pair of Gaerne and Hebo boots have come up for sale, so I am curious as to the pro and cons of each boot from everyone out there that has experience in these?

In the years I have been riding I have stuck with Gearne...... when bought new I have found they have bedded in quite quickly,
but with you having a look at second hand they are quite comfortable.......I've also tried Diadora but found that I went back to Gearne

Thanks for the reply, I may have to track down the fellow a little harder then that had the Gaerne Boots for sale at Kembla Trials on September 11.

Both very good boots.
Gaerne are lower - not as good shin protection, but fit fatter calves because they are shorter.
Gaerne have a very gummy Vibram sole, grippy but it does wear out faster.
Hebo soles have reinforced rib section in arch area to protect against slapping down against footpeg when kick starting.
Both are a stitched welt sole construction, which is the traditional boot makers way. Not glued like some others.
Both the top of the line Gaerne's and Hebo's have waterproof lining built into the boot. Their cheaper models do not.
Gaerne slightly wider fit.
Hebo more average width.
New Hebo TECH boots have BOA closure not buckles.
Both companies being making Trial boots for a long time, and both very good products. Try them on and you'll have an answer.

Thanks very much for that run down, I have not seen the Gaerne boots as yet but the Hebo ones have buckles, looking at the photos. I may have to get to try them on more sooner than later.
