Thanks for your advice Dave, I have just altered a cable which has got a nylon inner to it don't know whether its a Venhill one, its one I had fitted to a TY mono which went right down to the hub, many moons ago! The linings that I got from Miller's are Newfren. Just riding the bike around the garden felt a bit better bit more feel to it. But will try it at the Fathers day trial tomorrow at Mercer. regards Mike Gundry

The front brake was a lot better with the new cable, thinking about it never had a problem with the Newfren linings in the past they always worked OK.
