I am an ex trials rider currently living in Bordertown S.A. Considering bringing the family over to have a look at the Aussie Titles in Mengler Hill....

Can someone who is involved in the event let me know what the spectating will be like?? Is it a walkable loop? My kids are 8 and 10 so can walk a reasonable distance but won't want to do a marathon...

Will it be possible to keep up with experts as they go around the loop?

Cheers Scotty

Hi Scotty,

Most of the loop will be walkable, although none of it totally flat, with at least 8 or so of both groups of sections a fairly easy walk, the next 4-5 a hardish walk and the rest a fair old hike up & down a gully.

There will be a number of sections right at the main hub of the event, with some tables and chairs to have a sit on while you eat, which will also be right next to the trade area with all the dealers.

So, in a nutshell - about 2/3 of the loop will be an easy to moderate walk, the final 1/3 will, pretty much, be for mountain goats! :D

Hope this helps - and hope to see you at the Aussies!

The full loop will possibly be around the 2k mark, but to see most of the action at an easy walk would probably be 1k max

That sounds good! 2k is easily achievable..
