Ignition problems Montesa 247

Hey guys I have a Montesa 247 76 model I am trying to start the bike and I am not getting a start. After talking to a mate Bully fanatic the guru he advised me on the wiring setup I still don’t have a spark... I have checked the coil and stator with a multimeter and found that the excite wire is grounding. Does this mean I am up for a new ignition coil?
