Hi everyone,
a new guy to Australian off road, need an advise. Coming from Canada and very different legal settings for dirt bikes, roads use etc. got a question if somebody can give me a hand, please it would be very appreciated.
Got a trial-off road bike, rego-ed it at roads office. Question is, can you ride on dirt roads and/or gravel on this off road bike? Or only farms and special designated areas? Any places in Gold Coast?
cheers
Bod

In Queensland pretty much the only place you can ride a trial bike legally is private property unless you have full road registration

If it's registered in Qld, you can ride on any legal road. Dirt or bitumen. Unregistered and you're restricted to private property.

It may be a trail bike and not a trial bike, as pointed out if it has been registered then you can ride on the road, dirt roads providing they are not on private property.

Hi,
you are right that it is not trial bike, my bike is just an yamaha ttr230, must be trail bike not trial
My rego shows: 'Yamaha, off road Bike" so it is not road worthy as got no lights. So not even dirt roads than only designated areas? Most likely not on any public road including dirt/gravel roads in Australia.
Cheers
