Aussie Italjet Piuma in 1984

Post by David Lahey »

Queensland rider Jeff Gough looking cool and smooth (as usual).
I noticed this photo in an old Trail&Track magazine and thought it might also bring back some memories for others

What a great shot, that's a pretty serious plunge for back in the day but none more capable than Jeff Gough.
I'm not sure but I think that is from a Western Districts Trial at Upper Brookfield.

That`s a great photo but you would expect them to get the name correct though. It does look very Upper Brookfield to me as well Rod. Also nice to see an Italjet in action.

Hey Graham, yes it looks vaguely familiar to me not that I ever rode that section but I seem to remember watching the "Guru's" ride something like that at Upper Brookfield.
Remember the days of the "Brookfield 60", how on earth did we do that? Today, 30 odd sections and we are all knackered, well I am anyway. I think that shot could well be from the year that Steve Chapman came up with his HRC Honda for the "60", hence the mention in a magazine. I don't know for sure other than being great times in Australian Trials.
