Fordy needs a muffler to replace the rusty ol' triangular muffler on his TL125 S resto project bike. He can get the header pipe from 'Musket NZ'. But anyone have any ideas on a good replacement for a muffler?

A friend of mine did up a TL125 in the early 2000s and for the muffler he bought a new one from the mower shop that was intended to be screwed into the exhaust port of a briggs and stratton side valve mower motor. He fitted it in-line about halfway along the exhaust of hos TL125. It sounded great and not loud. It was a good price too.
If you are serious about the possibility of using one I'll go looking for a photo of his bike with that exhaust.
More recently, the advent of chinese pit bikes has meant that lightweight, shiny 4 stroke mufflers of all sizes and shapes can be sourced for very little $$$. At a VMX Classic Dirt, I was camped next to a bloke from St George who had an XT550-based bike and a DR500-based bike and they both had fabulous looking chinese alloy mufflers (that worked) and they had cost him about $50 each (new price)

Good call David, one of those pitbike mufflers could be good, though it would need to fit either in front of or behind the shocker, -might be a calf-burner if it's in front of.
I'll check them out.

David, I know the muffler you mean. I've often thought of using one as a tail muffler.
I'd love to see a pic or too of it fitted to the bike you mention, if you can find some pics

Right, that's very minimal, (-A quality which is excellent for feminine underwear of course).
So that's the lawnmower muffler then. Neat-o.
