I've been riding Trials bikes for over 20 years, starting out on a Bultaco Sherpa T 250 bought off a mate in Coffs harbour. I moved to Muswellbrook, NSW and met Malcolm Chapman and Colin Phillipson. Both these blokes have a wealth of info on Trials that I didn't know existed! I joined the Denman MCC and rode the Bulto for a while before buying Mal's TY250(still got it, never get rid of it!). I have a gained a few trophies over the years and generally enjoying the sport.
Moved again, to the Wollongong area, joined the local club, picked a few more dust collectors over the years and helped put on 2 big trials displays in the area.
Since giving up the competition side of things due to shift work and the crazy fees needed to ride, I still have the TY and enjoy just riding it anywhere, including Les Boniface's property and chasing friends on their CR500 and WR450. I may be tempted back into the competition very soon.
