Hi....please, what is the difference between a...

    slow action action throttle,
    delay throttle
    adjustable throttle

...and when/why would you choose one over the other?

Thanks.

Slow action has a smaller radius than the standard , and requires 1/3 of a turn, compared to 1/4 turn for standard ,Approximately !!!

Feel free to tell me how many degrees, minutes and seconds difference between the two, I`m sure someone will.

Adjustable, is on the Sherco Enduro , you can flip over a removable disc that gives you two throttle actions to choose from.

Both throttles just vary the diameter the cable is pulled over, and I believe what you call, a lag throttle, is one with a varied radius, or cam type action, that will start off gentle on a small radius .Then quickly open in the last part of rotation ,at a much quicker rate on a larger diameter.

Been following your thread on Trials Central, recommend you try the throttle first. Makes a big difference

Cheers,

Easy....

A slow action throttle is caused by poor maintainence ,usually just needs pulling off and lubricating.

A delayed throttle is usually caused by inefficient Australia post staff or the dealer to slack to get your order in the mail quickly.

An adjustable throttle is quite rare in trials , have seen a few on ebay , but very hard to secure.
Howie is right about them being on Shercos 4ts , makes little difference on them as they are still a pain to start.

Till you gain more experience, I suggest fitting a triple ended set of Hebo indesision bars and try all three together ...these bars are hard to get also !!!!

Good luck

Domino slow action throttles are 123 degrees and regular 94 degrees.

I always thought adjustable throttles were those common ones! grab it, twist and adjust from Woah to GO!

KTM obviously wants to adjust out the GO, and add a bit more Woah. (didn't we discuss this at the park?)

Nipper....toooo funny.... :D :D :D :D

Yes - I need more Woah at present (although that wasn't the word I chose when I flipped it)

ShercoH....yes, i kicked off a thread on Trials Central too. I reckon it'll need a banana up the pipe to cool this baby though!!!!!

Another base gasket or two will also soften things up !!!! or buy a 200.
