Beta and the colour bond fence

I have to ask this question….What is it the with Beta’s and colour bond fences????
This past couple of months, or so, I’ve seen numerous Beta’s advertised for sale. But they all have one thing in common….the colour bond fences in the background of the photo.
Let’s have a bit of fun and ask….What do YOU think this could mean???
Let your imagination run wild.
Best of balance.

Hi,
Is it because Beta are the bike of choice for middle suburbia? Kind of the Holden Commodore of the trials world?
Perhaps we could expand the list as this:
* Scorpa the bike of choice for the petit bourgeois.
* Montesa the bike for South Yarra, Point Piper crowd.
* GasGas for the cafe latte' set.
* Sherco the bogans bike.
* TY Yamahas for all the farmers.
Let's face it I have no idea why Betas and Colourbond have an affinity,
Cheers,
G

I own a Beta but I don't own one piece of colorbond anything. Does this make me a misfit???? That could explain some of the conflicts I've had through my life.
I might have offset any negative influences of owning a Beta and no colorbond because I also own a TY175 and a TLR200 and yes I do live on a small farm, so the TY bit above might be right.

The colourbond fence is the only thing that keeps me in. Broke the timber fence trying to ride over it.!!!!!

Hi Neo.
Well we live on the outskirts of town on small acreage. No we don't farm. But we own 3 Betas and 3 Ty175's. (and a Ty80) And chuck in a couple of Bullys. Not middle suburbia - not farmers. Where does that leave us...

I own a Beta and I'm thinking of colour matching it with my colourbond fence and gutters. What am I thinking, I'll match my boots, helmet and clothing. Where do I fit in?
Davo
PS. I live in Wagga middle suburbs and its a rural town. I've always wanted a TY

When you do get your TY, make sure you match your colour with Zincalume corrugated sheeting, cos that would really fit in around Wagga!
As for the Beta, I would go with white, as this is the buzz colour that the '08 models will be seen with!

I only buy red motorbikes ( I'm not joking, montesa 315, honda dominator and a red chinese 50cc for my son). I've had red cars too. the reason I don't have red colourbond is, Red is the fastest and I would not want a fence to be fast. slower the better in fact.
I live on a small farm and have no colourbond at all, please help, I want to fit in. (I do think answer number 2 is correct though)

Seems that the TY is the bike of choice for the farming community. Those who are on the farm and don't or haven't had a TY secretly desire them. So I guess rusty zincalume is the backdrop of choice for TY owners. There does seem to be a thread also that says old TY owners purchase Betas. Perhaps the Beta really is the football, meatpies, kangaroos and Holdens type of machine. So maybe the Beta is still the bike of middle suburbia and the "battlers" bike unlike those petite and elitist GasGas machines!
Gordonmichael needs bright green colourbond to offset the red of his Monty; this will give the impression of speed even when standing still.
Too much time on my hands,

Actually I think the real reason is that Spanish marque bike owners are a bit proud to admit they only have Super6 sheeting and are shy to show them in their photos, not like a Beta owners who are upmarket.
What I really want to know where the picket fence fits in ? Bultaco?
