tyre choice

Post by car.davies »

In responce to the post about four down from this one ( http://trials.com.au/BB2/viewtopic.php?t=3033 ), I read it with great interest as I was in the market for a new rear tyre. I noticed the comment from Trial zone ref their Vee rubber tyre and ordered one. I used it today on mud, logs and rocks and am really pleased. Good value! Also, after reading about some horror stories about people fitting a tubless rim and getting them re-beeded. I went and got it fitted at a local motorcycle tyre shop. It cost $10, took ten minutes and guess what, I still have all ten fingers. I know it is good to do things yourself reference maintenance, but some things are best left to the professionals. It also supprts local business. Anyway, the soap box is away.

Hi Davo,

My experiance of local bike shops dealing with anything on a Trials bike has not been good. Very, very few understand the in's and out's of a trials bike.

Yes I have had sore fingers in the past. But the knowlage I have gained have made it well worth the effort.

It's like anything. once you know how...it's easy

Best of balance.

If you can't fix your bike problems yourself, how are you going to fix things (like a flat tyre) part-way through a Trial?
