Hi all, I found this on youtube, hope the link works. It's in German but the video of these enduro riders riding over logs is amazing.
I think Erich the guy on the Husaberg has ridden a few trials before, what do you think?

Enduro - Trials cross training
At the recent MA / AIS ISDE camp, serveral of these techniques were used to the benefit of the participants.
The rider's proficiency and ability certainly improved with cross training.
And, as a side benefit, "trials" got another toe hold in dirt based motorcycling circles.
Cheers

Top video, thanks very much for posting it.
I have recently changed from a scorpa trials ,to a very top heavy, road registerd trail bike, and im glad to see that the skills can be aplied in the same way, with just a bit more throttle, and weight compinsation in mind.
yes the bike is much heavier, but it shows thay can get over some rather big obstacles, useing trials techniques.
enduro bikes are great for seeing the country, and theres always fallen logs across trails, creek crossings, big climbs ,and so on....... It pays to keep up the practise on trials skills.

Yep,
You can be sure they didn't learn them movements on a Pit Bike!!
Neo,
Do I vaguely remember you canning someone about including enduro bikes in a trial????
I reckon these guys would give you a run for your money on a Vespa PMSL!
Any wonder I love riding a stand up bike in the bush. Even at my timid level that vid reminds me how an Ole Fart can make a youngen that thinks they know it all.............
Greybeard enduroX is what I want!!!
With no Venables (At least until I am old enough to gain an advantage)!!!!

Very admirable indeed……but I’m curious to know just how long these bikes will last being treated like this.
Maybe they could start their own spot of “BashPlate Trials”. And/or maybe their bash plates should have skate-board wheels fitted.
Best of balance.

Yep, Erich Brandauer, 12 times Austrian Trials Champion. Don't have to be fit to have style. He got 12th last year, in the Erzberg Rodeo, and 14th this year. 22 finished the Erzberg this year, out of 500 starters. He's been one of my hero's since seeing this clip a while ago.
Cheers
Kem
