Trials action pics from 1977 - 1983

TooFastTim found this fantastic collection of colour photos taken of high level trials riding in the US roughly covering the period 1977 to 1983. They are mainly photos of riding in sections during competition and a few of showing-off type riding.
There are the top US riders like Whaley, Leavitt and Schreiber as well as top international riders like Lampkin, Andrews, Burgat, LeJeune and some others.
Debbie Evans also features quite a bit on her TY175 (riding it though - not balancing with her head on the seat) although there is a photo of a guy who balances standing on the seat of his Sherpa T.

Judging by the link string the photographer might be someone called Tom Margie

That's a nostalgic trip for sure.
Bum bags for in-section breakdowns, no helmets, no gloves, no shirts even !!!
It was also good to see that it wasn't just us poor Australians who used to wear Dunlop gum boots :)

Thanks for the credit Dave. Notable that even Bernie is wearing a bumbag. Ah the days before riders had an entourage of minders and had to fix their own bikes.
