13 Pickup Truck BMX Jump

Last weekend I saw some program on the Crusty Demons, centred around a long distance jump at some show in Qld. 500cc bike I think it was.
On the first attempt the rider took off before getting the OK from the officials, and very nearly collected the announcer who was still standing atop the landing ramp. Gave both of them a heart attack, I think one of them was treated for shock.
He had another go, and reached 277 feet. Unbelieveable. (I think it may have now been pushed out over 300 feet.) The guys have no fear.
