Ty 350 mono shock 86 model

Post by Golden Glove »

Gday All.

Two quick questions here.

What tension is needed on the head bolts in the way of pounds/foot pressure. ( I am replacing blown head gasket and have a tension wrench)
Also

What would be the best fuel ratio to run this 86 model bike on just for general putting around?

Thanks in advance

Hi Glove

I've had my TY350 since it was born and always mixed the oil at 50:1.

You could probably lean this if you wish, but don't imagine any benefit. Mine still pulls strongly, doesn't blow an abnormal amount of smoke and doesn't oil up the plug.

I'll track down the service manual, it may have the required head bolt tension.

Stay tuned.
