This one should be easy

Ok here is an easy one (for people who rode trials in the Brisbane area in the 1970s)
The teenage girl in the photo was an accomplished trials rider from Mt Cotton near Brisbane. Photo probably 1976. Sorry no bikes in the photo but she like many others at the time rode a TY175B and could also sometimes be seen on a Honda ATC trike. Her family property at Mount Cotton was very popular for holding trials events at the time.

I do not know who the young lady is or her history (bit before my time) but I heard a story from a workmate who rides trials socially. He told me about a female relation of his who was a founding member of the Logan River club after splitting from T.C.Q. Your mention of the family property at Mt. Cotton got me thinking it may be her. I rode a Logan River club day at Mt. Cotton in the 80's and the property was in the region of the mouth of the Logan River. Might be way off the mark David but I will put forward this guess.

I think Trango is close to the mark, but what was her name?

Questioned my workmate further and he told me his relation is his sister in law Rose Wanchap. That is her married name after marrying Wayne Wanchap. He also thinks she was the first female to ride in a competition trial in Australia.

Sorry but her name isn't Rose. The person in question would currently be about 47 or 48 years old if that is any help.

I'm sure the wee lass would prefer
a + or - on the age bit!!! after all, women go from 26 to 36 and then 76 without counting the ones in the middle
I hope you send her a card on her Bday!

Maybe this one was a bit hard.
The girl is Jenny Blunt, daughter of the landowner Tom Blunt.
Nowadays, the property is Karreman Brother's quarry, West Mt Cotton Road, Mt Cotton

Thanks David. Had us stumped with that one. Quarry work had already started when I rode the previously mentioned club day in 88. Found this photo of me blasting up the quarry wall on my old 350. Might qualify for BJ's old pics as well. Was a long haired 17 year old lout when the picture was taken.
