Trials popularity

Post by motostar99 »

Hey guys,

Haven't ridden trials in 5 years after having to sell my bike to get my first car, but after so long I went and did Q-Ride today to get my motorbike licence and realised how much I want to be back on a bike!! In particular, back into trials!!

So i jumped on the forums, had a look at upcoming events, and it appears that whilst there wasn't a great deal of events, etc when I used to ride back then, there's even less now!

NDMC who I used to ride for, are they still around?? The events calendar doesn't look like it.

The problem is that there is so little exposure to trials. I know there is very little in QLD and I imagine the other states are also the same.

It'd be nice if trials actually had some marketing behind it here in OZ! Unfortunately no one would want to put any money into doing it. A bit more exposure and it might actually appeal to alot more people and it could start to get much bigger. Just look at anyone you talk to who actually knows what it is, and they think it's great!

Anyway, just thought I'd share my thoughts on what I think is such a great sport, that could be doing so much more!!

I am sure many of you will have seen ( if you haven't you tube "kick start") it but I reckon the style should be more along the lines of this. Timed circuits, keeps it exiting.
