Visiting around Dec/Jan

Hi,

Great site, my friend is emigratting from the UK in November and i intend to visit late Dec through to mid Jan. If i can get a Gas Gas from somewhere (Hire or buy and sell when i leave) i intend to do a little training and ride a few competitions while I'm visiting.

So i wondered if;

1. Their are any trials on in and around the Perth area during this time, or do i need to make my friend move elsewhere?? Sorry for my ignorance, i looked through various calendars but ended up none the wiser.

2. When riders visit the UK for trials such as the Scottish Six Days the importers hire them a bike for the week. Can similar things be done??

The only Gas Gas dealer in Australia is located in Victoria.

You might want to take into account the temperature/heat especially coming from British winter to a Perth summer.It is probably to hot for us to ride,that is why you might not find any events on at that time of year.

Cool, hadn't thought of that. Well hopefully i'll manage to get something done while i'm over. Should be coming from Miami so hopefully the heat won't hit me quite as hard as coming from the UK.

You might have more luck MTBing.But I'd suggest surfing /swimming and drinking.

I don't drink so theirs no chance of that, can't swim, may be a good chance to learn in cleaner waters and i am bringing my bike with me

The waters in WA are so clear the sharks can see you really really clearly from a great distance . Enjoy your lessons .
