Advice on power,help!!

hi guys,

any of you know to get more low end torque,

my bike is suzuki 2 stroke, 49 stroke, 59 bore mikuni 24 carb.

where to start?

My guesses would be to lower the gearing, or increase it's capacity. Also make sure you have enough back pressure in the exhaust with can changeover.

You could try a thicker head gasket to lower the powerband and give it a bit more torque, easiest way though as said above would be to lower the gearing a couple of teeth...

lower gear..u mean the sprockets or internal gear?

thicken the gasket results in lower compression..are you sure it creates more torque :?:

more volume sure is.

hi dad,

i just read the surface..its almost the same as gordon jenings..but more specific..i think:D
i have some problem "measuring my cylinder" :mrgreen: thought gonna leave the job to my wife :lol:

anyway gonna need a couple of days to figure where is the power is..i think my bike was used as a road race bike before..

i was looking for graham books..in the amazon jungle..

Lower the gearing through sprockets. Smaller on front or larger on back will give less speed but more torque.

The back pressure in the exhuast, is altered with the diameter and length of the exhaust. Not sure if it will work for you, but i'm fairly sure it's important with 2 strokes. Maybe others will know more on this?
