ty 350 which oil

Hi my mate has a ty 350 that needs an oil change, what oil is suitable for it. I have a Sherco 290 and use Castrol edge sport 5w 30, is this also suitable for the ty or does it need a thicker grade oil, thanks Steve. ps how much oil does the ty hold/need.

The manual lists the oil as, SAE 10W30 type SE motor oil.

For periodic oil change 750ml
Total amount 800ml ( I guess for a dry gearbox after a rebuild etc.)

Try the yamaha Au site for the manual

thanks Peter, Sherco also recommend 10w 30 but I find the 5w 30 works better, I will try it in the ty, thanks again Steve.

It is handy to have as it is also ( as I'm led to believe ) for the 250.
