Who else has copped the storms?

We have been fortunate not to get it as bad as all the areas surrounding us. I'm in Aspley, but north, south and west of us have all copped it badly.. It's hailing pretty bad right now tho..

Hey Nic,

Those storms passed over us about an hour ago, good rain thunder and lightning.

I'll Be down at the gap tomorrow carting trees to the dump again,was down there earlier in the week with work helping out.

We copped it!

luckily no major structural damage to the house however I have been mopping water out of the house every night this week.

Sunday night was the worst, lots of gum trees down on our property as well as accross the road. My neighbour and I spent many hours on sunday night just dragging trees off the samford rd so people could atleast get home to their families.

I took monday off and went through 5 tanks of petrol in the chainsaw just cutting up trees into handlable pieces. Then 2 more storms through this week brought more tress down.

I'd say about another 3 tanks should do the trick.

We consider ourselves lucky compared to some just over the hill in the Gap.

Sounds like you've had your hands full Luke.. I have no idea how, but the water must've built up that much under the house that the water came up through my floor last night and has made all the carpet wet. Which is not pleasant at all!

Yeah i'm sure they needed plenty of help Peter. Good that you guys can get up and give them a hand. The damage at the Gap looked terrible. I feel for those families without homes. It must be devastating.
