G'day BigD,

I really hoped not to offend. I hope your Mum can pull through. I've pulled the post. (I also note the irony PA).

Given our recent experiences, James knows what loss is. This afternoon he reflected upon the fact that his sport could easily take away his mobility faster than he lost his bikes. James knows a young rider who now is now wheelchair bound and suggested his idea already. He had a teacher who was very able but wheelchair bound. And today he remembered an idol in Andy Caldecot (who died three years ago). He knows and understands the consequences. And so he decided he would get some practice just in case. I was proud of him because he showed that risk and adversity should not stop you enjoying yourself for too long. If the worst happens hopefully he can make something of it. Sidechair trials could be a real sport.

Who'd have thought that anyone would pull a backflip on a chair?

I couldn't find the original Rob only the "condensed" version. The original had a whole build-up to the flip and was quite moving. He was, apparently, the first guy to do a flip in a wheel chair.
