Hi there,
Have been looking on this site to try to find out how to resize an image so it is not too big to post on this forum. Any advice what program i use and how to do this?
Thanks in advance.

If you don't have any programs like photoshop, etc. you can always use Paint. To use paint to resize an image:
1. Right click on the image and click Edit (by default this should go to paint)
2. Once the image opens up, click on the Image tab at the top
3. Click Stretch/Skew
4. In the Horizontal and Vertical Stretch boxes, choose a lower %.. Depending on the size of the photos I usually find around 30-40% is a good size.
5. Then click File and Save As. (Go to Save As so you can save a new file and don't overwrite the old one with the smaller photo).
Then you should be done!

There's a few online image resizers as well...

Can't go past Faststone. Its quick and dead easy to use!(and it's free)
I use it for all my resizing/cropping.
Here's the link;
http://www.faststone.org/Paint is good too, especially if you want to do more involved stuff,
like bizarre pics of Dad.

Agree with Faststone... it even runs off a USB stick, for those of us with locked-down work PC's

I have this problem too.
I tried using photoshop but it just made me mad so i just use paint now.
You just open up the pic with Paint and I just go to Image then Stretch/Skew then I just go down to about 30% (depends on how big the photos are to begin with) to make them a reasonable size.

If you are looking to resize batches of images, with free software, oddly enough a new thread started in ADVrider today on just that topic.
