Hello everyone,

I recently purchased an 02 GAS GAS TXT 280 Pro and am in the process of giving it some TLC and ive noticed that the front disk brake is a tad bit loose/got abit of side to side movement, Ive tightened all of the bolts on it but it still seems to have a bit of movement. Coming from motocross I wasnt sure if this was normal as i didnt think that it was, but just thought I would get some advice!

Also, one more thing that ive noticed is that when applying the rear brake, instead of the pads coming inwards to contact the disk, they are pulling the disk off centre (outwards away from the bike).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

well I just found the tech tips page, sorry guys am new to this site and found that they are floating front brakes.... so new question..... what silicone to use to shut them up? haha

So thats the front brake, im still abit miffed about the rear brake..... any ideas? or is that a similar thing as the front?

Sounds like you have a stuck/sticking piston in the rear caliper.
Probably either dirt/corrrosion jamming it or could be up for a new seal/piston kit which are dirt cheap.
And while you're there drain the whole system and put some fresh good quality fluid in.
How good was the previous owner with maintenance?????
