1974 TY250 Parts Help

Im asking for some assistance for a fellow trials mate thats doing up his 1974 TY250.
Vin No 484 016681

Where do you get a:

1. Clutch cable
2. Front and Rear Sprockets
3. Mufler
4. Complete Rear brake(including rod & spring)

1. John Cane (Venhill brand) or
custom made by motorcycle mechanic
2. JT fronts from any motorcycle shop
Rears from John Cane or B&J Racing or machine a blank from John Titman Racing and fit a spacer
3. WES muffler from John Cane or B&J Racing or
Yamaha muffler from eBay/wrecker
4. The rear brake rod on a TY250 is a cable - eBay/wrecker

Postage is not to bad from the first 2,especiially if you get the maximum parts in your parcel upto the weight allowance your paying for. eg 0.95kg not 1.1kg

remar cables in vic should have the cables if your after genuine! but be prepared to pay if its genuine gray cables you want!.....have a closer look at the frame number think you will find its 434.....not 484.....thats the corect ty250a 1974 number......cheers and good luck

Thanks to everyone thats helped my mate find some parts to restore his TY250A.

He still cant find a rear brake pedal?

He has search world wide for this one part to complete his restoration,any help
would be much appreciated.

i will check out my spares may have one! [ could be off a "b" though! they are differant "A" model doesnt fold back. GIVE ME A DAY OR TWO ive just moved and my ty sfuff is under the house in a real bad spot.

sorry mate no go on the brake pedal, could swear i had one,but after much searching no luck! you shoul place a ad in the wanted section on here.there is one on us evilbay at the moment if your real keen? but i reckon you will go ok with an ad here. good luck.TM

There was a TY250A at the Tiaro motrocycle wreckers when I was last there. It still had a complete frame honda forks and half a motor all in a very sad state, so could still be there. Worth a try
